In a region with particularly tortured mountain countryside, the helicopter has quickly become indispensable and aerial work constitutes an important part of the company’s activities. We are able to intervene in domains as varied as:
Medevac 24 hours a day and 7 days a week Helilagon is at your disposal for any Medevac. Operator for SAMU 974 for more than 11 years, our teams and helicopters are available to take off 10 minutes after your phone call. Our 3 Twin-engine 355N are authorised to fly day and night and all our pilots have the qualification “flight at night”. - Sling missions
Equipment performance allied to the know-how of its operators in the interest of efficiency. In order to transport various materials to the most inaccessible places - Photos & films
With its natural treasures and impressive countryside, Reunion Island is often used by film-makers and professional photographers. Their accompaniment by helicopter is a very particular kind of service, demanding knowledge of the terrain and aircraft equipment as well as pilot’s availability and listening. Helilagon's experience and flexibility contribute to be a favoured partner for them. Some participation : "Ile à grand spectacle": water in all its forms, by Denis Ducroz
Peugeot advertising films: real technical prowess
Ushuaia: documentary filmed at Trou de Fer.
Participation in the shooting of "Réunion magique" in Imax, by Alain Gerente and Jean Pierre Chardon. The most prestigious. (More than 250 hours shooting by helicopter.) Accompaniment of photographers: Yan Arthus Bertrand, Roland Bénard, Hervé Douris, Serge Gelabert
Fire-fighting The helicopter fills the need for a swift way of dealing with fires, able to operate in otherwise inaccessible regions. In 1996 Helilagon acquired a "bambi bucket", a supple, air-refillable sack capable of holding 750 litres of water. After filling up at sea, the Ecureuil returns to the fire zone where it releases its contents. Fully loaded, the aircraft can reach a speed of 200 Km/h, enabling it to be rapidly at the scene of the action. With each pass, the curtain of water covers an area of 100 m long by 11 m wide. The "bambi bucket" serves not only to fight against fires, but also to supply with water the farms and building sites having difficult access.
